Call for Papers<\/strong>
\nIn keeping with the National Endowment for the Humanities\u2019 new call
\nfor interdisciplinary transcultural projects, this conference will focus on
\n\u201cintercultural receptions\u201d across time and space. Reading, in the title, is broadly
\nconceived in the sense of reception of \u201ccultural\u201d forms and genres, including
\ntexts, buildings, art works, rituals, and performances. This year\u2019s conference
\nwill particularly focus on the reception of ancient, medieval, and early modern
\ntexts, whether literary or philosophical, across genres, periods, and geographical
\nspaces. 250 word abstracts should be submitted to Professor Brenda
\nSchildgen by May 1, 2013 (email: bdschildgen@ucdavis.edu).<\/p>\n
