{"id":2172,"date":"2021-05-22T10:11:01","date_gmt":"2021-05-22T15:11:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ancientphilosophysociety.org\/?p=2172"},"modified":"2021-05-22T10:11:04","modified_gmt":"2021-05-22T15:11:04","slug":"le-grec-et-la-philosophie-dans-la-correspondance-de-ciceron","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ancientphilosophysociety.org\/website\/le-grec-et-la-philosophie-dans-la-correspondance-de-ciceron\/","title":{"rendered":"Le grec et la philosophie dans la correspondance de Cic\u00e9ron"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Situ\u00e9e au carrefour de la linguistique, de la litt\u00e9rature antique, de la philosophie grecque et romaine ainsi que de l\u2019histoire des id\u00e9es \u00e0 Rome \u00e0 la fin de la R\u00e9publique, cette \u00e9tude cherche \u00e0 examiner comment le \u00ab code-switching \u00bb (ou basculement d\u2019une langue \u00e0 l\u2019autre) r\u00e9v\u00e8le les origines, l\u2019\u00e9laboration et l\u2019\u00e9volution de la pens\u00e9e philosophique de Cic\u00e9ron dans un genre marginal, semi-priv\u00e9 et informel \u2013 la correspondance \u2013 qui entretiens d\u2019\u00e9troites affinit\u00e9s tant avec le bilinguisme qu\u2019avec avec la philosophie. Apr\u00e8s une d\u00e9finition puis une triple analyse, formelle, culturelle et prosopographique, du corpus retenu, ce livre s\u2019attache aux sources philosophiques du grec figurant dans les lettres cic\u00e9roniennes en quatre \u00e9tapes successives, incarn\u00e9es respectivement par Platon, les Socratiques (X\u00e9nophon et Antisth\u00e8ne) et les Acad\u00e9miciens (Arc\u00e9silas, Carn\u00e9ade, Philon), par Aristote et les P\u00e9ripat\u00e9ticiens (Th\u00e9ophraste et Dic\u00e9arque), par \u00c9picure et les \u00c9picuriens (Philod\u00e8me de Gadara) et par les Sto\u00efciens. Elle r\u00e9v\u00e8le la r\u00e9currence, la pr\u00e9cision, la subtilit\u00e9 des emprunts de Cic\u00e9ron \u00e0 la philosophie classique et hell\u00e9nistique, mais aussi la vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de leurs emplois et de leurs fonctions. La correspondance constitue souvent un laboratoire de la pens\u00e9e o\u00f9 la gen\u00e8se de celle-ci est plus perceptible que dans les dialogues ou les trait\u00e9s et une analyse syst\u00e9matique du bilinguisme qui s\u2019y manifeste constitue un angle d\u2019approche in\u00e9dit et f\u00e9cond pour approfondir notre connaissance de la philosophie cic\u00e9ronienne et hell\u00e9nistique.<\/p>\n<p>Sophie Aubert-Baillot est ma\u00eetre de confe\u0301rences HDR en langue et litte\u0301rature latines a\u0300 l\u2019Universite\u0301 Grenoble Alpes.
