Honoring the\nrichness of the American and European philosophical traditions, the APS supports\nphenomenological, postmodern, Anglo-American, Straussian, T\u00fcbingen School,\nhermeneutic, psychoanalytic, queer, and feminist interpretations of ancient\nGreek and Roman philosophical and literary works.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>THEME<\/strong>: Although\npapers on all topics relating to the continental interpretation of ancient\nphilosophy are welcome, this year\u2019s conference organizers are especially\ninterested in assembling one or two panels relating to the themes of <strong><em>xenia<\/em><\/strong>or \u2018<strong>hospitality<\/strong>\u2019 and the <strong><em>xenos<\/em><\/strong> or the \u2018<strong>foreigner<\/strong>, <strong>stranger<\/strong>,\u2019therebybringing the ancients into the urgent contemporary conversation\nabout social\/political issues such as immigration, national identities, and\nborder policy.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Submissions cannot exceed 3000 words in length (not including\nnotes) and must be prepared for blind review. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Send to: &nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:APS2020@depaul.edu\">APS2020@depaul.edu<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference hosts at DePaul University this year are\nMichael Naas, Sean D.
